We use and stimulateArtistic Intelligence

The Neighborhood Theatre presents two exciting new participation projects for children and youth this Autumn

In collaboration with Storhaug, Nylund, and Lervig primary schools, and the University of Stavanger’s Faculty of Arts and Education, we invite children to discover the joy of theatre through movement, music, and play in a safe and familiar environment.

Play, Imagination, Community

Theatre opens a world of imagination while strengthening collaboration, communication, and empathy. Research shows that artistic activities also enhance cognitive, emotional, and social development—skills children will carry far beyond the stage.

Our weekly sessions are inclusive, playful, and guided by experienced theatre teachers. Every child is encouraged to take part, regardless of background or prior experience.

Children will gain:

Confidence and self-esteem

Creativity and imagination

Teamwork and listening skills

Awareness of body and voice

A joyful introduction to artistic expression
